I just learned that a man with a heart and spirit that could turn mountains and river paths (and literally did, given the nature of his former job in Lloyd and Hidroput) died at the age of 76, after undetected cancer spread metastasic tumors around his body. Even with four large tumors in his brain, he didn’t stop living in full speed. The moment he was able to walk, he joked with nurses and doctors… and he proved that even if sickness breaks your body and ultimatively kills you, it is the spirit that is single most important thing in each persons life.

With the death of Vladimir Mraz, Santa Claus (croatian translation: Djed Mraz) will no longer be present in my family. My grandpa used to bring gifts not just to us, but to many unfortunate families that lived in Sisak, Croatia.

I will be off-line until further notice. To all colleagues and friends, I am available on my cellphone.
