Six is sex or sextus… if quartor is quad, then sex is sexa. Hexa refers to base 16 instead of base 10 for numbers… thus hexa core can only be 16 cores, and that is not derived from Latin.

(2) Dual-Core comes from Duo.
(4) Quad-Core comes from Quartuor.
(6) Sexa-Core comes from Sex
(8) Octo-Core comes from Octo.
(12) Duodeci-Core comes from Duodecim
(16) Sedeci-Core comes from Sedecim.

Thus, it is Sexa-Core Westmere. ;)
