For those of you who have recently gotten a Google Voice account, there is a new way to make unlimited free US calls. While it is still in its infancy, you can now make calls using an application called Gizmo5.
Essentially, this program enables you to make calls using your GV number by simply using GV to dial you into the call. There are only a few write ups on the Internet on how to get this working, including one on the Gizmo5 site. What I?ve noticed using this setup is that call quality is a bit bad in the beginning of the call, but over time improves to an acceptable call quality.
This may not necessarily be as good as Skype, but its slowly getting there and it?s free to get your own number and receive calls. Feel free to ask any more questions you?ve got here.
