Samsung (LON:BC94) is about to continue the Galaxy S4 branding in order to boost their sales even further. According to some rumors, the company plans to announce Galaxy S4 Active, Mini and Zoom by the very end of this month (with release dates set in June-July), and the aforementioned rugged device named Active has already leaked in both photos and video.
Photos in one leak reveal that the SoC in the Active is the same as in the flagship
The record-breaking flagship Galaxy S4 will continue to be used by the company, even though most of the devices under the brand will not be on the same hardware level. For instance, Galaxy S4 Zoom is a 4.3-inch qHD device that will allegedly launch in June. It should carry a 16-megapixel rear camera ? and a mere 8GB of storage space (expandable via microSD). Galaxy S4 Mini will continue in spirit of the older S3 Mini, and the S4 Active is supposedly a rugged waterproof and dustproof variant of the flagship.
S4 Active will have a 5-inch 1080p screen (unknown technology) and an 8MP shooter. Contrary to the information from the initial leaks, some photos show that the Galaxy S4 Active carries the same quad-core SoC as the flagship (Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 with the Adreno 320 GPU) while the video shows something entirely different (a dual-core Snapdragon S4):
Curiously enough, both sources GSMArena and MobileTechReview show devices that have the Croatian language set as the system one, and some claim that the images were taken in Zagreb, on the official Samsung stand during the regional fashion fair.
