In an ocean of ads from mobile manufacturers focusing on buzzwords, competition and technical slang without giving the potential user any tangible clues as to why to really purchase their product, sometimes a good idea pops out. LG managed to do just that with their new ad. Feathers involved.

To illustrate just how the two-axis optical image stabilization works in their flagship LG G2, a humorous and intelligent direction was taken. They used Lizzy, a member of the Phasianidae family and of subspecies Gallus gallus domesticus – known in some parts of the world as the chicken:

LG certainly hit the spot in this hilarious, yet very informative video for the end user. Their flagship G2 joined the likes of the Nokia Lumia 92x/1020 and HTC One, units with an ‘industry trend’ offering the ‘true’ OIS. Just as a reminder, the G2 offers the 13MP Sony Exmor RS CMOS sensor in a camera module containing the f/2.4 optics and OIS, and according to the reviewers, it does a pretty good job with stabilization and overall image quality.
