I tried looking around for a release date too…it looks like March 29 is when Music Unlimited is closed, so I think sometime after that. I’m sure the PS Blog will update us, and when I learn more, I’ll be sure to do a write-up on it!

The prospect of being able to play music while in-game is very exciting. I mean…why can’t next-gen consoles do something so simple that the Xbox 360 made use of? Loved ripping CD’s to my HDD and then listening as I play ^__^

Focused on the gamer LOL, Sony is focused on making money from media more like.
MS let’s you play all your media types for FREE.

You can put move of put your Xbox one games on USB 3 hard drive without restrictions and take to any other Xbox One and play them instantly without waiting or having to download a thing.

Why has Sony released so few AAA games and rushed through the few they have especially the train wreck like The Order 1886 if they care so much about the gamer ?.

Well I think it performs well enough…however I do prefer the PS4 for gaming, heh.

All in all the Xbox One is a total scope console and certainly feels like it at times. It does have a certain appeal though and fits in with MS’ new Windows 10 ecosystem quite nicely.

That ecosystem will prove to be the Xbox One’s major advantage I think. The PS4 has Vita and Morpheus, but being able to tap a PC library gives Microsoft a major edge.

Right now the Xbox One still has a sort of unfinished feel but that should change once ID@Xbox starts rolling and Windows 10 launches.

Funny thing is how the PS4 is becoming more like an Xbox One and vice versa. Soon their distinctions will be blurred and they’ll pretty much be the same, haha.

That’s a really nice list of updates, but the button mapping needs to be stored individually for each game you set, not global, or you will be forever changing it back and forth for troublesome games.

DLNA ? is a gaming console not a media box for you to stream your illegally download to! there and app that does dlna . let sony finish there features and in year time they will include other features like they did with ps3.

this is not final or confirmed dont forget dude. could vr. Is a game console . feature 1 is play games.
feature 2 is gaming features and others
when game console been out for a while and it has all the main fetures to make it great then it will add little features. if u cant wait for short period of time then get a ps3

I hope DLNA will come soon, but if you have a PS3 or even an Xbox 360 you should be okay for now. But yeah it’s true the PlayStation 4 kind of lacks that media player presence.

The Xbox One, on the other hand, is amazing for multimedia and such. Just where the two consoles differ.

The only thing I’m worried about is if V 2.50 leads to other errors like v 2.0 did. I’m very glad they’re beta testing this one (not just because we get leaks and first-hand info, but because Sony is trying to make sure things don’t go wonky when it releases).

Woh! Just because I ain’t happy about some features shown in the update and request more as I have a right I guess, because I spent money on it? I need to grow up? I am a brat? Dudes do u even know me or my age before passing such comments? As a user I guess I have a right to be happy or unhappy and raise my voice… It’s called ‘democracy’ ever heard of that word? And stop being playstation puppies and super faboys! Yeah I appreciate they are providing updates but it’s not a favour… It’s a promise they are trying to keep on the bases of which we bought their console, and trust me I am not the only one asking for those features. I understand technology very well, however i don’t need to justify my credentials to you guys but if Microsoft can then Sony can too! Anyways… I have nothing to do with any of you who think like that… My concern was with sony n not with you guys so peace out!

I agree people like Sukhist are very immature brats. Sony creates an excellent consoles listens to the people and people like Sukhish are still upset. I do IT so I know when you create things such as apps it is not easy and there are issues. What if his boss said he Sukhish you did this work but dam can’t you do this like the other people or such and such and he says but I am the hardest worker here. Same analogy. Stupid people! Create your own console since you think it is so easy Sukhish.

Seriously? DAMN YOU Sony? So they listen to requests from the community and spend $10,000s making this patch for us PS gamers, a patch FULL of additions that prove they’re listening to us and they’re also beta testing it……all for our benefit, and because they’ve not yet got round to adding what you DEMAND then you’re DAMNING them?

Grow up mate. This patch is undeniable proof that they ARE listening to us and I would bet my LIFE on the fact that we’ll get those features you want.

As theyve said since day one, February 2013, they are focused on the GAMER, first and foremost it’s gamers they want to provide and that’s exactly why PS4 is blowing Xbox One away.

We’ll get those multi media options eventually mate.

Just be happy Sony are actually thinking of us all.
