Kind of OT but still: With such low download rates you should really try out different download servers in your Steam settings.

When i download stuff from Steam the bottleneck usually ends up being my connection (50 Mbps) and not the Steam server.

I hear if your steam account gets banned, you don’t get a refund. You just lose all your games.

That’s a good question. If not I guess R* would have to refund…but still it’d suck to miss out on the game.

If someone got their rock-star account banned, I wonder if having the physical copy would allow them to get back into the game, but with a new account.

I personally think the disc option would be best. That way you get the actual entire game all at once and don’t really have to download anything.

Sure you’d have to swap a bunch of discs out for the installation phase, but it sure beats having to wait a looong time downloading 60GB at Steam’s ~1.5/2.0mbps download rates XD

But pre-loads kind of fix that problem. Just a matter of preference!

Maybe it’s to encourage players to get the digital version? That way, people won’t be able to reinstall the game as easily.
