Mid-Feburary isn’t exactly a season for big sales, but the Stream 7 tablet from HP (NYSE: HPQ) is literally being given away at Microsoft’s (NASDAQ: MSFT) online store.

For $79 (a 20% price drop from the original price of $99) you get the 7-inch slate plus a one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal (a $69.99 value) and a Windows Store gift card worth $25.

While the sub-$80 price is eye-catching, the Stream 7’s specs aren’t exactly top of the line. The tablet runs Windows 8.1 with Bing and is powered by an Intel Atom Z3735G SoC. For storage the tablet comes with a 32GB eMMC, 1GB of RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi with Miracast, Bluetooth, 0.3MP front-facing camera, and 2MP rear-facing camera.

Granted, the tablet is nothing special from a hardware point of view. However, considering the device’s low price it has been given rave reviews — much better than some tablets in a slightly higher price point. If you’re in need of a tablet it would be foolish to miss out this chance to get one at such a great price.

The AMD Radeon R9 295X2 was specifically designed for 4K gaming and to this day remains the best card for 4K gaming for a lot of reasons. In our review of the R9 295X2 graphics card, we found it to be one of the best cards for 4K with a single graphics card. One of the other things that made the R9 295X2 so fantastic and worthy of this list is that the liquid system that cooled this card is probably the most effective cooling solution that has ever cooled a graphics card, ever. The AMD R9 295X2 is also a great card because instead of bringing down the level of the 290X in order to be thermally manageable they actually clocked it even higher and gave you a card that was faster than two R9 290Xs. Currently, you can find the R9 295X2 selling at retailers for around $799 which is a great deal when you consider it launched earlier this year for $1,500 and the price has dropped all the way down to $799. There are some places selling a VisionTek R9 295X2 for $779, but that’s just one card at one store and $799 is a much more realistic price because the Visiontek card is likely to sell out. But why, you may ask, is AMD’s card that launched back in April at $1,500 now selling at $799 in November, only 7 months later? That would be because of the competition from the next card on our list.

We caught wind of a pretty sweet backup battery deal on woot.com, a daily deal website now owned by Amazon. This is for the Gorilla Gadgets CHR-150 Uhuru! 16,800 mAh External Portable Battery Pack Charger with LED Screen. Why is this a great deal? Because Amazon is selling it right now for $70, but Woot.com is selling it for $40 and the suggested retail price is $140. But what makes this thing awesome? Well, other than the fact that it comes with three different charging connectors (microUSB, lightning and Apple 30-pin), it can also fully charge an iPad and an iPhone and probably still have some charge left (depending on whether the devices are on).

While Gorilla Gadgets may not necessarily have a very well recognized name, the online reviews appear to indicate that they make a pretty solid product. And while we haven’t reviewed one of these yet, we’ve reviewed similar products before from a multitude of other companies. These guys appear to make a pretty solid product and at $40 its really hard to beat that big of a battery. Unfortunately, even though it does have two USB ports, only one port is a 2A fast-charger port while the other is a 1A trickle-charger port. It would be nice if they had a 2.5A charger like some of the ones we’ve seen from Patriot, but at $40 its really hard to complain. With a 16,800 mAh battery you could theoretically charge something like 10 iPhones before you run out of juice.

So, with that in mind, we recommend you head on over to Woot.com and check out this charger because its a pretty good one and you’re not going to find a battery pack anywhere near that big for that price. And if you do, you probably should worry about whether or not its going to explode in your hand because that’s ridiculously cheap. Don’t forget, once Woot is out, they’re out and you probably won’t see this price ever again so make sure you buy one if you really need one.

You don’t hear every day that Facebook is collaborating with a networking hardware manufacturer like D-Link to provide a “Facebook Wi-Fi” service. Facebook Wi-Fi is a service that Facebook has been promoting for the past year as a way for businesses to connect with their customers and to encourage them to connect to their free Wi-Fi network in order to check-in and get offers from the business (and let the business and Facebook gather their info). Facebook Wi-Fi currently only works on three different hardware vendors, two of whom are actually the same company now.

D-Link Facebook Wi-Fi AC1750 Router (DIR-865L)

D-link’s router is the first to officially be branded as a Facebook Wi-Fi router even though there have been others before that were already capable of supporting Facebook Wi-Fi. Ultimately, D-Link’s router is already a pretty good one as it support 802.11ac and up to 1.7 Gbps maximum throughput. While we haven’t actually reviewed this router itself, there isn’t much doubt that it would suffice as a free Wi-Fi hotspot for people looking to use Wi-Fi instead of their own dataplans. Just remember that Facebook Wi-Fi requires you to check in so that you can use the free internet, but at the same time it helps the business get a better idea of who their audience is or at least who’s walking by to steal their Wi-Fi and how they can market towards them.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of Facebook’s advertising or their promotional systems because they simply don’t work on a large scale. But, for smaller businesses with much more focused and geographically isolated audiences, there is a much better ROI and something like a Facebook Wi-Fi hotspot may totally make sense to them. The one thing that Facebook doesn’t clarify, however, is whether or not the business owners are being forced to use their own already existing internet to supply bandwidth or if Facebook Wi-Fi is being run by and paid for by Facebook itself. Judging by Facebook’s own FAQ it looks like you’d be running this Facebook Wi-Fi hotspot off of your own network, meaning that there’s a possibility your customers using free Wi-Fi could actually bog down your network if too many of them make use of it.
