On Thursday, December 18th there will be a live Twitch preview of Longbow Games newest PC strategy game Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients.

Longbow Games an independant game developer based in Toronto, Canada found in 1998 is known for the Hegemony series that started with Hegemony: Philip of Macedon , which was followed by Hegemony Gold: Wars of the Ancient Greece and finally Hegemony Rome: The Rise of Caesar.

Rob McConnell of Longbow Games is happy with Twitch platform as a tool to share this new game with players. His belief is that basic game trailer has difficulties in conveying the massive scale of Hegemony in a trailer, but in a live broadcast players can see just how easy it is to jump between battlefields hundreds of miles apart or to seamlessly zoom from close combat to a complete strategic view of the entire game world.

The importance of using Twitch also lies in the promotion of the Kickstarter campaign can show the backers exactly what they are helping to make and it gives Longbow Games a great opportunity to interact with the community.

The Hegemony III Kickstarter will run until January 8th, 2015 with a planned for a March 2015 PC release. Those interested in additional game information can find it on the Kickstarter page.

Hegemony III: Clash of the Ancients will have these features:

Italian mainland, all new map at 4x the scale of previous Hegemony games. There will be over 25 factions including the Celts, Etruscans, Romans, Latins, Samnites, Italics and Greeks.
Over 20 all new high-detailed units including Greek hoplites, Etruscan Axemen, pre-Marian Roman legions, Celtic longswordsmen and more. New gameplay mechanics to grow your cities and improve your faction over the centuries. Historic sandbox objectives allows players to sack Rome as the Celts or relive the Samnite wars.

Map Editor Included! For the first time in the series players get all the tools to make their own maps, campaigns and more.

Those who tune in on Twitch will also get a chance to check out the alpha gameplay, new editor and have a chat with  Lead Designer Rob McConnell and Art Director Britt-Lise Newstead.
