Silent Base 800" />

be quiet! made its name selling power supplies and cooling solutions, and now the vendor is entering the enclosure segment with the Silent Base 800, a high-end gaming chassis that offers sound insulation. Cooling is another factor that be quiet! lavished its attention on, with users getting the ability to add several aftermarket cooling solutions with ease in the chassis.

The Silent Base 800 is offered in three color variants: an all-black version, a black and orange model and a black and silver edition. Other than the variations in colors, the three models offer the same features. The side panels and front door feature an anechoic material that insulates sound. Behind the noise insulation panels at the front of the case are two 140mm Pure Wings 2 fans that are installed by default. A 120mm Silent Wings 2 fan is installed at the back of the chassis. The case comes with mounting holes for installing four additional fans.

<img width="750" height="420" src="http://cdn.vrworld.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/be-quiet-Silent-Base-800-2-750x420.jpg" class="attachment-vw_medium" alt="be quiet!

be quiet! mentions that the panels on the sides have been designed to provide optimal airflow to the chassis. For those concerned about maintenance, all air intakes are covered by dust filters. The case can accommodate motherboards in ATX, micro-ATX or mini-ITX form factors, and can fit in CPU coolers 170mm in height and video cards 290mm in length. Removing the hard drive cage allows users to fit in video cards 400mm in length. The toolless-design drive cages can slot in seven 3.5-inch drives, four 2.5-inch drives and three 5.25-inch drives.

For users looking to install liquid-cooled radiations, the Silent Base 800 allows for installation of 120mm to 280mm variants. At the front, the case has two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connectors. All three color variants of the chassis will be available from November 24 for $139 in the US.

Raijintek’s Aeneas is a new micro-ATX enclosure that is designed to offer excellent ventilation along with an elegant design. The case ticks most of the boxes when it comes to what enthusiast system builders look for in a chassis, and comes with a few that are not seen often, like a removable motherboard tray.

There’s a side window that lets system builders showcase the internal hardware, as well as a blue LED that runs along the front of the chassis that can be switched off. Also included is the ability to accommodate custom liquid-cooled setups and a black color scheme for the interior of the chassis.

When it comes to ventilation, the Aeneas can accommodate a total of eight fans, with the case itself coming with two 120mm fans as standard at the front, and two 140mm fans at the back. Should you choose to do so, you can remove the fans at the front and either install a single 200mm fan, or a 240mm radiator. With mounting holes at the top for 240mm fans or 280mm liquid cooled configurations, the Aeneas is compatible with all AIO cooling solutions available in the market today.

The areas that feature a mesh design get dust filters for easy maintenance, and the removable motherboard tray makes installing hardware that much easier. The chassis can accommodate four 3.5-inch (or 2.5-inch) hard drives in one cage, and should you require additional storage, you can buy an additional cage that accommodates a further five 2.5-inch drives. All hard drive installation is tool-less.

In terms of size restrictions, the Aeneas can fit in video cards up to 310mm in length, and CPU coolers up to 180mm in height. We’ve seen a host of new offerings in the micro-ATX segment, and the Aeneas is another quality addition to the space. The enclosure is now available for $100 (£62) in black and white variants, with the side windowed version costing an additional $5.

After rolling out a new mid-tower offering in the Core series, the Core V1, Thermaltake is now launching two new models called Versa H34 and Versa H35. Both enclosures come with modular drive cages, mounts for various liquid cooling configurations and extensive cable management.

The target segment for these enclosures is enthusiast overclockers, as Thermaltake mentioned that the Versa H34 and H35 are Tt LCS certified, a standard created by the vendor to ensure that a chassis can accommodate all liquid cooled setups. The enclosures can fit up to a 360mm radiator with ease.

As for the design, the mesh pattern assists in ventilation, while the dust filters prevent accumulation of dust. There is a windowed side panel that allows system builders to showcase their creations. Both cases come with cable management features that are designed to route cables easily behind the motherboard tray, and also feature water tube holes with rubber grommets for systems with external coolers.

The Versa H34 and H35 can fit in mini-ITX, micro-ATX and ATX form factor motherboards, CPU coolers 155mm in height, which rules out the larger coolers available in the market today. Video cards up to 278mm in length can fit in with the hard disc cage attached, the removal of which can fit in 420mm cards. As for PSUs, with the bottom fan attached the length limitation is 180mm, and without the fan users can attach PSUs up to 220mm in length.

In terms of storage, the modular drive cages can fit in three 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives, with the ability to attach another four 2.5-inch drives behind the motherboard tray. The ability to mount drives behind the motherboard tray comes in handy in cases when one has to remove the drive cage to fit longer video cards. The cases can accommodate eight 120mm or 140mm fans in total, and comes with two 1000 RPM 120mm fans at the front as standard. Front I/O is handled by two USB 3.0 ports and HD audio connectors.

Aimed at the enthusiast segment, the Core V51 can fit in E-ATX motherboards, as well as standard ATX and micro ATX boards. Thermaltake is making a name for itself by offering a host of cooling options in its enthusiast cases, and the Core V52 is no different, with users getting the option of installing three 120 mm fans, or two 140 mm fans, or a single 200 mm fan at the front. Up top, you can install three 120 mm fans, two 140 mm fans or two 200 mm fans. At the back, you can fit in a 120 mm or a 140 mm fan, and there is provision to install two 120 mm fans. If you’re looking to go with a liquid cooled build, you can install radiators of the same size in lieu of the fans. Thermaltake is throwing in three fans as standard: two at the front, and one at the back.

The chassis comes with two drive cages, with one cage fitting in three 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drives, and the other able to slot in two drives. The Core V51 is a modular case, and should you wish to do so, you can remove all drive bays to make room for extra-long video cards or a custom liquid cooled configuration. In such a scenario, you can house a 3.5-inch or a 2.5-inch drive behind the motherboard enclosure. You can also adjust the height of the drive cages if you don’t want to remove them entirely. At the front, the case has two USB 3.0 headers as well as the HD audio ports.

Thermaltake understands that you need to showcase your liquid cooled rig, and as such the Core V51 comes with a windowed side panel to show off your hardware. The chassis is set to be available later this month for $109.99.
