NZXT has followed up on its hit S340 chassis that it released last Fall by announcing today that it is bringing out two new versions. The Color Edition chassis as NZXT is calling it is the same as the previous S340, but these will be matte black with gloss red or gloss blue accents.

Late last year, NZXT had a hit with the release of the very affordable Source 340 (S340) chassis that blended great design and looks, with a great price of only $70.

Not surprisingly the S340 case has received great reviews, both from review sites and owners. The case has a simple look that is nice and clean, and even with the windowed side of the case the case is set up to provide a very clean looking interior. That clean looking interior is thanks to the PSU shroud and the shroud over the inner front portion of the case. The design has no external bays for optical drives or other external bay installed items.

The S340 is build out of cold rolled steel, making it very durable for your build. The interior has over twenty zip tie locations for easy cable management, with more than enough space behind the motherboard tray for routing cables behind it. There are three mountings for either 120mm or 140mm fans within the case. The case is fully compatible with the Kraken X31 closed loop liquid cooler when secured on the rear exhaust fan opening. For making your next build look great the S340 is a great place to start and adding in a little hard work will get you one very nice looking system that you won’t mind showing off on top of your desk. There is no word from NZXT on when the cases will actually be available for purchase, but it should be rather soon.
