The brand new SE790C follows the new trend for WQHD displays, with its resolution of 3,440 by 1,440 pixels and 21:9 aspect ratio. It is bursting with high-end specs like a 3000:1 contrast ratio and 300 cd/m2 typical brightness with dynamic lighting and shading.

The viewing angle is 178 degrees horizontally and vertically, which will give a great viewing experience however you choose to set up your desk and office. The SE790C houses four USB 3.0 super-charging ports which should be able to properly charge more demanding portable devices like the iPad with 2.1A.

The monitor also incorporates dual 7-watt stereo speakers to give the full multimedia experience. Users can choose from PiP (Picture-in-Picture) and PbP 2.0 (Picture-by-Picture) to connect and view two devices simultaneously without the need to downscale content. This will be nice for those who want to set up their console and computer to the same monitor to save desktop space. The SE790C also comes with a height adjustable curved T-shaped, while the panel itself has a hidden VESA mount bracket. Based on what Samsung calls 3000R (curvature radius of 3000mm) design the curved display is said to provide a “noticeably different viewing experience from traditional flat screen monitors and competitive curved monitors”. Samsung claims that the monitor creates a panoramic-like view and creates a wider and fuller field of view. It even claims that the monitor’s design creates a 3D-like effect, though this is not really likely and seems more like they are claiming that it is much more of an immersive display.

So, everyone was expecting LG to make the next Google Nexus tablet, or maybe ASUS since they’ve also been one of the part Nexus tablet partners. However, you’d be wrong to assume either of those are correct since the next Nexus 9 tablet looks to be coming from HTC and it looks like its going to be a real competitor. The new Nexus 9″ tablet codenamed Volantis (not to be confused with Lady Gaga’s flying dress) was outed by Android Police today with a full image and spec drop of the device. And based upon what we’re seeing, it looks like Nvidia booted Qualcomm out of the latest Nexus tablet as a tit for tat when Qualcomm booted them out of the Nexus 7 in 2013. This 9″ tablet appears to be a direct competitor to Apple’s iPad Mini and will likely pre-empt any updates Apple brings to it with higher resolution or a faster processor.

The Nexus 9 tablet is expected to sport an 8.9″ 2048 x 1440 resolution display which will be a 281 PPI display, higher than any tablet Apple currently offers. It will weigh only 418 grams for the Wi-Fi version and 427 grams for the LTE version, although the LTE modem is still TBD. What else is known about this tablet is that it will have an NVIDIA Logan 64-bit processor, which is Nvidia’s 64-bit custom ARM dual-core SoC. Lots of people have been waiting for this SoC from Nvidia and after some delays it may finally be coming here in the shape of a Nexus device. Interestingly enough, it will only have 2 GB of RAM, somewhat low for a tablet with such a high-end processor. It will, thankfully, have stereo front-facing speakers like most of HTC’s latest phones and NVIDIA’s Tegra Note 7. It will also have a 3 Megapixel front-facing camera and an 8 Megapixel back main camera which appears to look a lot like the Nexus 5 camera.

Nexus 9 Volantis rumored specs courtesy of Android Police

The Nexus 9 will come in 16 and 32 GB flavors which will cost $399 and $499 (more pricey than the 7″ version) and will have an aluminum zero-gap construction. This means that it will be the most premium looking, premium feeling and premium performing device Google has put out to date. The expected launch for this tablet is somewhere around Q4 of 2014, so don’t expect this thing to come out any time soon. If anything, it will probably be a lot like the Nexus 5 launch, a mad dash that is a result of some leaks.

We don’t normally post iPhone rumors unless they’re incredibly well substantiated and this one appears to be pretty legitimate. While the source of the rumor may be one that seems a bit off-kilter, this person who we are referring to has actually proven themselves in the past to be able to get legitimate iPhone hardware ahead of the launch.

Some images from MacFixit.AU that show the new iPhone 6

There have been countless rumors and leaks and all of the Mac and Apple fan sites will flood you with basically anything they can in order to ensure you click on it. Most of what we’ve seen online as of late has all culminated in Apple launching a larger iPhone. This addresses one of the biggest problems that people have had with the iPhone stating that it is simply too small for most people, causing many to go in search of Android devices with bigger screens. And most of the Android manufacturers have satisfied these needs by launching 5″, 5.5″ and 6″ phones (if you can call them phones past 5″). However, there are still a lot of people that like the small size of the iPhone and how comfortably it fits in their hands (especially if they have smaller hands). So, there is a very strong belief that the iPhone 6 will come in two sizes, one to satisfy the people wanting a bigger screen and another to keep the small phone people happy. There haven’t actually been any rumors that fully substantiate this possibility yet, but it would be a sound business decision on Apple’s part. Almost all of the leaked photos and videos about the new iPhone 6 basically show the newer larger design, which frankly bears a striking resemblance to the HTC One and HTC One M8 both of which we reviewed. Now, there have been a lot of leaks, like we stated earlier but not many of them had a confirming or solid source to verify the look or design, until now. A Taiwanese actor, famous for having shown himself with an iPhone 5C well in advance of the phone’s launch has once again posed with a new Apple iPhone, but this time it’s the iPhone 6 and he’s got it in hand next to an iPhone 5S. Thanks to the website SteveNotes.hk, we’ve got images of Jimmy Lin with the new iPhone 6 along with the iPhone 5S next to it for size.

As you can see from the Weibo image above, the new iPhone 6 (or whatever it’ll be called) is a larger phone than the iPhone 5S and has much more rounded edges which should make it feel much more comfortable in the hand than the somewhat sharp iPhone 5/S. There are also multiple sources claiming that this phone will have a 2K (2560 x 1440 ish) display, even though I’m not sure that this phone is large enough or there is a display small enough to fit in an iPhone and deliver that resolution. Keep in mind that the current iPhone 5S is 1136 x 640 resolution on a 4″ display and a 2K resolution would be more than quadrupling that in terms of pixels if they were to go 2K. The likelihood for that happening is VERY VERY low, so more realistically, we’ll finally see Apple move towards a more standard resolution like 1920 x 1080 or pretty close to it since Apple decided to stay away from 720P with their 1136 x 640 resolution on the iPhone 5.

The expected timeframe for this phone is still fall of this year, likely with a September announcement and an October or late September launch (like last year).
